About this tour

It is a natural attraction located in the town of Soraypampa, in the past it was only visited by those who ventured to trek to the snowy Salkantay, but now it has become one of the most visited places by travelers, visiting the Humantay lagoon will not take you more than 1 day, the walk is easy if you have previously acclimatized in Cusco and the reward for this effort will be the wonderful landscape that can be seen in this lagoon with turquoise waters.

Itinerary

This day begins with the pick up from our hostel between 4:30 to 5:00 am, we will board our mobility to travel to the north west of the city from Cusco, to the town of Mollepata, this trip shows the exuberant Apurimac river valley.

In this small and picturesque town we will have a well-deserved breakfast to fill us with energy, then we will continue our trip to the starting point of the walk the town of Soraypampa which is at an altitude of 3,900 m.sn.m. after a short break, we will begin our journey towards the Lake Humantay located at an altitude of 4,180 meters above sea level or 13,779 feet, after the ascent of approximately 1 hour 20 min we will be able to appreciate the wonderful landscape, after the explanation of our guide and take souvenir photos we will have time to enjoy the place and return to our camp to have our lunch with beautiful panoramic views of the snowy peaks and later they will be transferred to the city of Cusco.
